Called to Restore: A Journey of Faith and Healing
Mount Arbel, Israel.
Simonette is a pastoral counselor, educator, and passionate advocate for healing and restoration. Her journey began in 2020, during a time of global uncertainty, when she felt called by the Father to be a solution rather than a source of frustration. This divine nudge led her back to school, where she deepened her understanding of trauma and developed evidence-based tools to support others on their healing journeys.
No stranger to overcoming life’s challenges, Simonette has lived through moving across countries, navigating cultural shifts, facing rejection, and rebuilding from hardship. These experiences have shaped her into a resilient, empathetic guide for those ready to break toxic patterns, repair emotional breaches, and rebuild stronger foundations.
Guided by scripture in Isaiah 58:11-14, Simonette embraces her calling to be a “repairer of the breach” and a “restorer of dwelling places.” Her Sephardic Jewish heritage and return to Hebrew roots inform her approach to counseling, which integrates faith, biblical principles, and practical tools.

A Life of Ministry, Family, and Purpose
She is deeply grateful to Abba for her husband, Peter, with whom she has shared 31 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they are blessed with three children and three grandchildren. Pete has been a constant source of encouragement and support throughout her journey—standing by her as she completed her bachelor’s degree, pursued accreditations, and now as she continues her master’s and doctoral studies. Simonette is also thankful for the opportunity to partner with him and Kisha Gallagher in leading the pastoral care of His House Congregation, Knoxville Fellowship of Restoration.
The most rewarding part of Simonette’s work is walking alongside her clients as they discover solutions to life’s hardships. She encourages them to develop the skills to overcome challenges and make meaningful, lasting changes. She serves those who are ready to do the work necessary to heal themselves and, in turn, help others. Many of her clients come feeling stuck in toxic patterns of behavior, yearning to align their responses with their faith and move from a place of victory rather than victimhood.
Beyond her professional life, Simonette is an adventurer at heart. She has explored skydiving, scuba diving, car racing, and target shooting. She also enjoys dancing, singing, and painting—creative outlets that reflect her zest for life.
Simonette is inspired daily by her faith and guided by scriptures that ground her identity and purpose. Her goal is to see her clients achieve balance and peace and apply the skills they learn to their families, congregations, and workplaces.
